You have GOT to try these- they are SO good!
Every year we grow loads of green bell peppers. We eat them, freeze them, and usually have way too many! But this year we have a new appliance on the homestead – our awesome Ninja Air Fryer– and bell peppers will never be the same again! We can’t grow enough of them! And we just don’t get tired of eating these Air Fryer Fried Green Bell Peppers!
Here’s how it started……a couple of months ago, being a bit “confined” during the virus, we decided to purchase an air fryer. Now, we are definitely not big appliance people. It took years to move into a Kitchen Aid mixer (I love it now that I have it!) and other than the coffee pot and toaster that’s about where the electric appliances end on our homestead. But I kept reading about the benefits of the air fryer, watched a few YouTube videos about them, and was super interested. I did a ton of research- there are so many to choose from, in all price ranges. I knew I wanted something with good reviews, and easy to clean and take care of. Also, not too big so I wouldn’t think of it as a burdensome appliance. After all that research, I found the Ninja A101. It’s exactly what I wanted, and also has the bonus of being a dehydrator (you should see the way it dries our figs!). I debated and debated, an finally one night I just said “do it” and placed the order.
A few days later the air fryer arrived, and I immediately started using it. And I haven’t looked back! I think that I have used it almost every single day since I got my Ninja! Whatever I am planning to cook, I just google the air fryer recipe alternative, and usually find one. It’s super fast, doesn’t heat the kitchen up, and really easy to clean. Now that I’m understanding the concepts behind it, I am able to experiment and come up with my own recipes. And that leads us to Air Fryer Green Bell Peppers.
So now that I gave you my unexpected review on the air fryer– here is the most awesome recipe you’ll try this season! Air Fryer Green Bell Peppers have this amazing texture, they are crispy coated, then crunchy pepper, with a deliciously savory flavor. Partnered with a little ranch dressing I could eat these daily…….and have done just that since I created the recipe! Could you use other peppers- absolutely! We are going to be trying poblano and jalapeno soon. I played with this method and have come up with a one bowl recipe that is super easy and they cook in just 4 minutes! Could you do it without the air fryer? I’m sure you could just fry them in a little oil on the stove top, but I haven’t tried it.
Here is the picture tutorial of how to make these really easy and yummy bits of goodness- I hope you enjoy!
