Double Chocolate Almond Cake

Double Chocolate Almond Cake from One Ash Farm Recipes


1 boxed Chocolate with Chocolate Chips Quick Bread or Muffin Mix
1 tsp. pure Almond Extract

Prepare the mix as directed for muffins, adding the almond extract
Pour into a greased bundt cake pan
Bake at 350° for approx. 25 minutes
Cool for 20 minutes, then turn onto a cooling rack to finish cooling completely
Place on cake plate prior to glazing

Chocolate Glaze

1 cup powdered sugar
2 TBS. melted butter
3 TBS. cocoa powder
1 tsp. pure Almond Extract
3 TBS. very hot water
chopped almonds, roasted or raw, unsalted

mix all except the almonds together until smooth 
spoon evenly over the top of the cake, allowing it to run into the crevices
immediately top with chopped almonds
cool before serving
