For years I have been getting the Advancing Native Missions (ANM) catalog in the mail around Christmastime. And every year I am truly amazed at how little it takes to help support a family, a child, a missionary and more. This year I have the opportunity to review ANM and am so happy to be able to to share it with you.
Since 1992, ANM has been helping Christians and their churches get involved and experience the joy of seeing lives transformed around the world. The work is done in 121 countries, with 27,000 missionaries and over 49,000 churches planted.
The difference between ANM and many other missions is the native aspect. The missionaries remain in their native countries, regions, and communities. They know the language, the culture and have a much lower learning curve than missionaries from another country coming in. Because of this concept the missionaries are able to make a difference much quicker, and also need less financial support. And to me that’s what makes ANM an interesting way to help native missions.
With ANM you can donate as little as $3 for a single hen that provides up to 250 eggs a year, or on up to $900 for a community toilet. The options are truly mind boggling! There are so many needs, and so many options. I personally always key in on the page that has donation opportunities for chickens, nanny goats and sewing machines. Sounds just like me, right?
Whether you’re a homesteader who knows the value of raising your own food and making your own clothes, or you’re more interested in helping fund life-saving medicine or safe housing for persecuted Christians, ANM has over 20 options for your donations. And if you still can’t choose then you can designate any amount to help fill unmet needs.
