Have you heard? Anne Wilson (she had the #1 Billboard hit “My Jesus” in 2022) has a new album and, of course, we are so excited about it!
I jumped at the chance to review Anne Wilsons new album “Rebel”, knowing how much I had enjoyed her first album “My Jesus“. She is a PLATINUM-certified, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter who brings a strong country vibe to the Christian music scene. Each song off REBEL was written under the banner question, “what does it mean to be a rebel in the world we live in today?” and thus given a corresponding tag line and bible verse. For example REBEL: A Rebel does not follow the crowd. (Romans 12:2). Anne’s heart with her music and platform is to impact culture with a message of hope, faith, courage, and most of all, God’s love.
REBEL features 16 tracks and blends the genres of Christian and Country Music. This sophomore album from Anne Wilson released on April 19 and the “trailblazing album” (People.com) secured No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 spots on Christian, Country and all-genre charts respectively. It includes collaborations with some of Christian and Country music’s biggest names, such as CMA Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson for “Praying Woman,” GRAMMY-Award winner Chris Tomlin for “The Cross” and Country superstar Jordan Davis for “Country Gold.”

And if her music isn’t enough Anne Wilson has a non-profit movement and community called Hey Girl Nation for girls and
women of all ages to be encouraged and empowered by who they are in Christ alone. She has a specific desire to be a positive role model for girls who need one to look up to. One that reflects wholesome values that are rarely portrayed in today’s culture.
