It’s football season and what better way to keep the ball rolling than with a new Christian movie about football? Average Joe is based on the true story of Coach Joe Kennedy and his fight for freedom. In theatres October 11, 2024 this is sure to be an inspiration to all who view it.
Here’s the synopsis-
High school football coach Joe Kennedy had no other choice but to fight. A childhood in foster care followed by 20 years in the Marine Corps was nothing compared to his biggest battle: his commitment to stand for God publicly by taking a knee in prayer after each game. When he was fired, Joe and his wife Denise knew this battle for religious freedom, freedom of speech, and the rights of all Americans was one they would have to fight—no matter the cost. From the director and producers of God’s Not Dead and the producers of The Blind comes AVERAGE JOE, in theaters beginning October 11.
With the world it is today it takes a true hero to stand up for their religious freedom. We all know that standing for our beliefs is what we have to do, but could we all fight in the way Coach Joe Kennedy fought? There is so much to think about beyond the surface of this movie. The combination of freedoms of religion, speech and American rights is one that we all face, or may face, at one point in our lives. The inspiration of Average Joe is one to be taken to heart.
