As an avid reader of Amish Fiction, I am familiar with many of the works of author Cindy Woodsmall. This latest book, Ties That Bind, follows in her usual style of easy reading and promising character development. While I was not immediately taken with this book, it is a good book for anyone wanting to venture into Amish fiction. As the reader follows the trial and personal struggles of Ariana and her family, many delicate subjects are covered including leaving the Amish faith and unknown relationships. Family secrets and unexpected relationships take this story in a direction that is not always typical of Amish fiction. Mrs. Woodsmall has created a unique and different story line in this first book of the Amish of Summer Grove series. This series promises to lead the reader to want to learn more about Ariana, Quill and the others of Summer Grove.
~I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for my review.
