Skirts! I know not everyone wears them, but for me, this is my wardrobe. Yes, even on the homestead I wear skirts all the time. I find that wearing a skirt is so comfortable! I have so many people ask me how I can work in a skirt. I have found that skirts are much more forgiving and flexible than a pair of jeans. I can squat, bend, stretch and get into all kinds of odd homesteading positions in my skirts!
Although I wear lots of styles of skirts, I think my favorite is a cool, comfortable, cotton crinkle skirt. I love the “twirl” that comes from a crinkle skirt, and I love the flexibility from having the “give” in the fabric. I find lots of crinkle skirts at our local thrift stores, and these are perfect for working on the homestead.
But I have often been disappointed that once you wash those skirts, the crisp crinkles are gone. For a long time I tried lots of different ways to keep the crinkle in my skirts. I even ended up just letting the crinkle go on some of them- what a disappointment was that! Then I came up with this really easy, and very frugal, way to keep those crinkles so that your skirts always look like brand new.
Here is how I keep the crinkle in my skirt- try it out and let us know if it works well for you!
Keep The Crinkle in Your Skirt

Hi, love your blog and especially that you're Christians. The skirts look great. I usually just tie mine in a knot for several ours then carefully hang it to finish drying. Have a great day!
Thanks for the positive feedback! We hope to get out some ideas to help others with this blog, and love knowing that we have Christian readers. If you have any ideas for subject matter, let me know and I will do my best to get the info out there!
