If you’ve ever wished for a simple, beautiful way to read through the Bible in a year, The One Year Bible makes it possible in just about fifteen minutes a day. Each day’s reading includes passages from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. It is an easy and balanced plan that keeps you moving through Scripture without feeling overwhelmed.
I’m happy to share my thoughts on The One Year Bible for Women and I think it’s going to be one of my favorite devotional Bibles. Each day includes a brief 100-word devotional written by Misty Arterburn whose gentle encouragements speak right to the heart. The softcover edition is especially lovely, featuring a absolutely beautiful bird design that feels peaceful and uplifting every time you pick it up.
The One Year Bible for Men, written by Stephen Arterburn, mirrors the same thoughtful layout and daily reading plan but this time with devotionals tailored to encourage and strengthen men in their walk with God. Together these make a wonderful set for couples who want to read through Scripture side by side. The pair would make a lovely wedding or anniversary gift!
Both editions use the New Living Translation (NLT) which is clear, trustworthy, and easy to understand. And since it takes only a few minutes a day it’s a very achievable way to stay in the Word all year long.
If you’ve been thinking about starting a new devotional rhythm, or want to share Scripture time with your spouse, this pair is an excellent place to begin.
