We’ve all heard of the infamous Tater Tot Casserole… But we just tried it for the first time last night! We added our own twist to it- ground pork instead of ground beef! And mmmmmm it was SO GOOD!
Here’s our recipe- we hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
– 1 Pound Ground Pork
– 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
– 2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese (you can play around with this- if you like more cheese, add more; like less, add less)
– Onion Powder & Cayenne Powder to taste (I used a couple of dashes)
– 1/2 Cup Milk
– 1 Bag Tater Tots (Note: I let my tots thaw out for about an hour before I was ready to cook)
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350F. Grease a 13X9 pan.
- Cook the pork until well done in a skillet.
- In a bowl, combine the entire can of Cream of Mushroom soup, the milk and 1 cup of cheese. Add the onion and cayenne powder to taste.
- Combine with the pork until mixture is well combined.
- Layer the bottom of you pan with tater tots. Pour the meat and soup mixture you made in step 3 over those. Add another layer of tots on the top. Top with the remainder cheese.
- Bake at 350F for 35 minutes or until you see bubbling and the tots are golden brown. For the last 3 minutes, I broiled them on low to add a nice crisp- just make sure you watch this because it can easily burn the whole thing if you let it go too long!
- Serve and enjoy! (We added some ketchup on the side for added yumminess)
