There isn’t much that warms your tummy like a golden, hot, homemade biscuit, fresh out of the oven. As a matter of fact, we love them so much that we call our recipe “Yum-Yum Biscuits”. Whether they are slathered with butter, swirled with honey, or piled with homemade jam,
we think you will learn to love these easy to make, comforting biscuits!

Yum-Yum Biscuits from One Ash Homestead
Ingredients-
2 cups all purpose flour
1 TBS. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 TBS. sugar
1/3 cup lard or shortening
1 cup milk
Whisk together all the dry ingredients.
Cut in the shortening until mixture is crumbly.
Add the milk and stir until mixed.
Place dough onto a floured surface and knead 15-20 times.
Roll out until about 1/2 inch thick.
Cut with a glass or biscuit cutter.
Place on lightly greased biscuit pan or cookie sheet,
with sides touching.
Bake at 425° for 13 minutes, or until golden.

Exactly like my Momma's recipe, except she used buttermilk instead of regular milk. Hungry!
Sounds delicious! Now have this written down and ready to try in a few days. We don't usually eat breakfast (unless it's for dinner) but we love biscuits with our dinners. These sound simple and perfect for us. Thanks for sharing.
