If you have ever visited an Amish area you have probably eaten at one of those delicious Amish restaurants.
The food is always plentiful and distinct. I can almost taste the fantastic cooking from the Amish as I am writing this post! I know our favorite place is Mrs. Yoders Restaurant in Mt. Hope, Ohio. Everytime we are in the area it is a “must-go”, usually more than once! The buffet is fantastic and there are many of my favorite items available. One of the staples at Mrs. Yoders is Amish Broccoli Salad. The combination of sweet, green, and salty is almost indescribable- I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!
So, after years of wanting to figure out how to make it, I have finally managed to bring back memories of some of our
best family vacations in the form of this flavorful and crunchy salad. This salad is always a favorite for your family or at any gathering. It is filled with nutrition and a great side dish, or even a meal in itself! You can throw this salad together a day ahead and keep it refrigerated, or you can make it just before the meal and serve it at room temperature. Any way you decide to enjoy Amish Broccoli Salad, I have a feeling you are really going to love it!
Enjoy!

Great salad. At my house we omit the cheese and add golden raisins and sunflower seeds.
