Christmas movies are almost always heartwarming and leave you feeling invigorated and hopeful. When I received the opportunity to review Buttons A Christmas Tale I was certain that I would enjoy the movie a lot and would have those same hopeful holiday feelings. This family friendly, good for any age movie is Dove Approved and is certainly a joy for families to watch together.
The cast of this movie is impressive- Dick Van Dyke, Angela Lansbury, Roma Downey, Jane Seymour, to name a few. And the story is narrated by Robert Redford and Kate Winslet. Director Tim Janis put together this high powered team to create a magical story of orphaned girls and their guardian angels. The movie is sure to warm the hearts of anyone, but I feel like young girls would find it particularly appealing.
I do have to admit I was surprised when I realized this movie is a musical. That wasn’t what I was expecting! But the music is good and the surprise song by Sir Paul McCartney added to the credibility of this production. Your family will most likel watch Buttons A Christmas Tale again and again, and be singing right along!
