Peach season is in full swing and it’s time to start making all those yummy seasonal treats! Amish Peach Goodie is one of our favorites here at One Ash. A unique take on cobbler, this yummy dessert combines the sweet, tart flavor of fresh peaches with the buttery, chewy, crunchy topping. If you love peaches, you will want to try Amish Peach Goodie!
Peach Goodie from One Ash Farm Recipes
Filling-
1/2 cup white sugar
2 Tbs. all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
6-8 medium sized ripe peaches, peeled (or not), and sliced
Mix the dry ingredients in a good size bowl, and then add and mix the peaches until they are coated.
You can make this thick or thin depending on the size of the pan you use.
Topping-
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/3 tsp. baking powder
2/3 cup melted butter
Mix all of the dry ingredients. Add the melted butter and blend until crumbly.
Pour on top of the peaches and press down firmly.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
Best served warm with a scoop of ice cream!
